TOKYO, August 23, 2016 _ Ube Industries, Ltd. today announced that its consolidated subsidiary and centerpiece in the UBE Group's machinery business, Ube Machinery Corporation Ltd., has established a new sales and servicing office in Lexington, Kentucky through its American subsidiary, UBE Machinery Inc. based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The new Kentucky office began operating in August of this year.
In recent years, automotive parts suppliers have established numerous manufacturing facilities in Southern states. UBE Machinery Inc. engages in manufacturing, sales, and servicing from its Midwestern base in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The establishment of a sales and servicing office in Lexington, Kentucky is ideally situated to more rapidly provide finer customer support with the regional growth of customers.
The office initially launched with two full-time staff from Japan concentrating on sales and servicing respectively, and moving forward will add locally hired employees to meet the needs of manufacturers.
Ube Machinery Corporation Ltd. is expanding its international sales and servicing operations, and currently operates 21 offices in 12 countries and regions including the US, China, India, Thailand, Mexico, Germany, and Brazil. The company will continue striving to provide support and servicing to customers across the globe.
