Information Disclosure on Research Ethics

Animal experiments have made great contributions to the research and development of new drugs in drug discovery research.
UBE Corporation aims to comply with all relevant laws and guidelines including “Act on Welfare and Management of Animals” as well as the principles of the 3 Rs.^*1 We have established an animal experimentation committee to supervise and control all animal studies and make efforts to perform animal experiments appropriately.
The status of the conduct of animal studies is self-inspected and evaluated periodically by the head of study site, which is certified as a competent animal experimentation facility by JAPIC,^*2 a third-party assessment organization.
